This beach house in Palm Beach, located on Iluka Road, was in need of renovation to fully take advantage of its natural surroundings for the three-person family. To achieve this, significant changes were made to the internal layout, including opening up the rear with large glass panes to create a sense of indoor-outdoor living. Additionally, the bedrooms were repositioned to face the front courtyard, providing a private, secluded and green space with ocean views through the main house.
One of the standout features of the renovation is the v-board clad ceiling above the main staircase, which also features a skylight that floods the space with light, creating a beautiful halo effect. The light color palette used throughout the beach house contributes to the relaxed atmosphere by creating a sense of brightness and openness. Neutral shades such as white, beige, and gray were used to keep the space light and airy. The natural light coming in through the large panes of glass and skylights also enhances this feeling, making the space feel even more open and connected to the outdoors.
