Paddington Street

Paddington Terrace is located in a heritage conservation area in an area in Sydney where small, tightly packed sites mean that maximising space and access to natural light is a necessity. The project was a complete renovation of the property, retaining the heritage value of the front rooms and contrasting this with a complementary new modern rear addition. The family brief was to create a home with a huge emphasis on outdoor living.

Along with being big entertainers, the clients love to spend time with their children in the grass, grow their own herbs to cook with and also dine in the garden with their friends and family. They were wine lovers and wanted to create a warm and sophisticated cellar to store their collection. They loved the original architecture of the building on the original levels and wanted to reinstate as much of the period detailing as possible.
